Growing up in northeast Nebraska, Husker Athletics was a huge part of the culture. Some of my favorite memories involve the Huskers, including my eventual enrollment at the University of Nebraska. Football is by far my favorite sport, and luckily for me, Nebraska's football culture is incredible.
So naturally, when the opportunity to work with Nebraska Football presented itself, I hopped on for the ride.
My internship with the team mainly revolved around recruiting, where I designed many of the personalized graphics we sent to past recruits, some of which eventually committed to the program. Following along with the Nebraska Football brand, along with flexing my creative muscles to put together eye-catching pieces for high-profile athletes, contributed to much of my growth as a creative and greatly expanded my knowledge of the sports media industry.
